Day 2 & 3

So last night we went to a Broadway show so we got home late so I did not post. My feet have blisters and my legs are sore. I haven't seen the sun, grass, or had phone service in my room since we've been here. I love my home and the farm. Maybe coming here with my family and not school would be more eventful and I would go to things I really want to see. Anyway, yesterday we started our day at Saks Fifth Avenue which was really fun comparing Saks I have already been to. It was very cool and so full of life on different levels of the floor and gave off so many different vibes. After our tour at Saks we went to RMC which is a supplier of sweater and knits for Anthropology. These offices are pretty small and everyone wears such casual clothes, no one wears any business attire so we really look out of place. We left there went to lunch at S'Mac which was a gourmet macorni and cheese and they made it in a cast iron skillet and served it in just that. Was really cool. Surprisingly the food has been rather cheap we have gone which I am happy about as I am such a penny pincher hence why I have no purchased any souvenir, shoes, clothes and so on.....yet. Afterward we went to Yabu Pushlberg, a design firm which was a nice change of pace for the interior design students. They do a lot of hospitality and even did Graves 601 in Minneapolis which I have stayed in. Afterward was Inguiardo Studios which is a costume shop that does costumes for Broadway, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Victoria Secret and so on. We got to see a lot of pieces in the sketchy place. I would have went nuts in the place it was full of so much stuff. We came back relaxed and left for Chicago the Broadway show which was pretty good.

So today we got up sore as can be and left to go to Calvin Klein, it was very sleek and white. After ward we made our way to ABC Carpet and Home which was soooo cool. They had a lot of furnishings and all types. I could spend all day and a lot of money there...if I had a real home. We then went to Herman Miller, one of my favorite tours so far. They were really informative and let us test all the chairs. Forget Steelcase office furniture I love Herman Miller. We then left had a quick lunch and people watched afterward we went to our last scheduled tour of the week...thank goodness! It was at Maraham which is textiles and such was quick and nice to see organized materials for once unlike our materials room. After it was over we came back to the room and I took a nap and here we are now. Laura and I plan to go do a little shopping so she can get some tennis shoes because we are so over dress shoes. Hopefull I don't buy much because I only have 4 pounds left for my bag to be underweight. I am so ready to come back and see my boyfriend, the farm and my parents coming. This is for sure a place to visit and not one to live.
